David A. Stone Jr.

David Stone is an entrepreneur, contractor, and CEO of Superior—a rapidly scaling, multi-state, fully integrated service platform engineered for performance, precision, and long-term growth. With over 40 years of experience working alongside Fortune 500 companies, David has built a career defined by vision, execution, and the ability to consistently transform opportunity into enterprise value.

From founding Tri State Electrical Contractors in 1984 and successfully taking it public in 2001, to launching and scaling United Electric, David has repeatedly demonstrated an uncommon ability to build, grow, and position companies at the highest level. Today, alongside his partner Walter Schobel, he has transformed Superior into a dominant, multi-trade powerhouse—setting a new standard for service, scalability, and execution.

Superior is not a traditional contractor—it is a strategically built platform delivering electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, General Maintenance, Tenant Improvement, and Construction services through a unified, client-centric model. Operating across multiple states with more than 500 service vehicles on the road, the company provides seamless end-to-end solutions designed to support complex, multi-location operations on a scale.

Henry "Walt" Schobel

president
Walt Schobel is a founder and president of Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP). He has over 40 years of experience in the electrical industry. Prior to his tenure at SEMP, Walt worked his way up from apprentice to project manager. 

​Walt holds certificates in Electrical Code/Electrical Theory, AC and DC Motor Control Theory/Lab and Advanced Theory from Chaffey College. In addition, he is a licensed electrical contractor in the state of California and a licensed electrical and plumbing contractor in the state of Hawaii.

Walt has extensive experience performing efficient electrical and plumbing engineering & design. He specializes in retail and commercial electrical refrigeration and plumbing design and installation.

Jeff Schobel

COO
Jeff Schobel is the chief operating officer of Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP), a position he has held since 2006.

Jeff is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company and its subsidiaries focusing on development, design, operations, and improvement of the systems that create and deliver services to meet client needs and ensure efficient and effective management of company resources.

Prior to SEMP, Jeff was director of sales & operations with Foster Printing (2001-2006), manager of Strategic Planning for Kia Motors, America (1997-2006) and senior financial analyst of Fluor Corporation (1989-1997).

Jeff holds an MBA in International Economics from Chapman University and a BA in Business Finance from California State University, Fullerton.

Camarin Stone

CFo
Camarin Stone is the CFO of Superior Electrical Mechanical & Plumbing Inc.(SEMP). Prior to being promoted, Camarin worked as a controller for the company under the expert guidance of the company's former CFO. During his tenure at Superior, he has successfully refined accounting policies and procedures, implementing departmental changes that have helped to streamline productivity.

In his current position, Camarin works closely with all members of management and accounting staff to ensure that the Superior's strategic vision as an industry leader is maintained.
​
Prior to working for Superior, Camarin worked in the financial services and property management sectors where he refined his account skills and knowledge base, while also honing key customer service skills valued by the Superior team. Camarin has also spent time in the tax sector preparing corporate tax returns, giving him a unique insight when reviewing company financials.
​
In addition to his work experiences, Camarin's educational background includes receiving a bachelor's degree in accountancy from Northern Arizona University. While attending NAU, Camarin was also active in several clubs, including the Student Philanthropy Council and Beta Alpha Psi business fraternity, where he learned the importance of serving others. This key trait has continued to be a driving force in his personal life and professional career.

John Dunn

Vice president, Plumbing
John Dunn is the vice president of plumbing for Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing Inc., (SEMP) and Superior Electrical Contractors Inc., a position he has held from 2006 to present.

His responsibilities include the daily operations of the plumbing department, focusing on estimating, design and personnel management of numerous technicians in California, Nevada and Hawaii. John possesses over 30 years of experience in the plumbing industry, including multi-family housing, retail, commercial and industrial environments.

He has held the positions of a journeyman plumber, service manager and general superintendent for previous employers. John Dunn is licensed in the States of Nevada and Arizona.

Richard Perez

Electrical Service manager
Richard Perez is the electrical service manager for Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing Inc. (SEMP)
Mr. Perez has over 30 years of electrical experience, including ABC Electrical School and has also completed the electrical state certification.

Richard has been with Superior for over 20 years and is in charge of the electrical service department, with a vast number of service techs who report to him on a daily basis. Another duty is managing the generator department which responds to planned power outages and emergency outages.

Richard is a big believer in the company moto "24/7 365 days, we are always ready."

Jeff Shaw

Electrical Project manager
As an electrical project manager with Superior Electrical Mechanical & Plumbing, Jeff leads a team of electrical construction technicians, including new construction and ground ups.

A big believer in customer service, Jeff supports hard work, integrity, and quality workmanship. Jeff has over 30 years of experience in the electrical industry where he has worked his way up from an apprentice to journeyman foreman, and now project manager.  Alongside his work experience Jeff also has over 20 years of leadership experience in running various commercial and industrial projects.

With a specialization in commercial electrical design and build projects, Mr. Shaw has successfully served a range of clients, including retail/grocery supermarkets and distribution centers, banks, casinos, restaurants, RV parks and aerospace facilities.

Todd Wilson

Electrical Project manager
Todd Wilson is a project manager with Superior Electrical Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. (SEMP). In this role Todd manages a team providing all aspects of electrical.

Mr. Wilson is a qualified electrician and holds the certification from the State of California. He is no stranger to the electrical industry, having spent nearly 35 years as an electrician and a project manager where he spent nearly half of those years with SEMP.

Todd specializes in client relationships and has successfully served a range of clients including large residential complexes, hospitals and large commercial projects. After a successful career in electrical and project management, Todd now advises other people on how to achieve the same success.

Jake Schobel

Electrical Project manager
As an electrical project manager Jake leads a team providing all aspects of electrical installation including new construction, tenant improvements and service while upholding his core belief of providing quality workmanship alongside effectively maintaining schedules.

Jake has spent over a decade in the electrical industry, progressing from an electrical warehouse associate through apprentice, journeyman, lead-man, foreman and eventually project manager. He specializes in new construction and tenant improvements in the electrical field and has successfully served a range of clients, including grocery stores, casinos, banks, and restaurants.

Mike Lieber

Vice President,
HAWAII DIVISION
Mike Lieber has been employed in the electrical field for over 35 years progressing to his current role of vice president of Superior Electrical Mechanical & Plumbing Inc., Hawaii. Some of his duties along the way have included project management of jobs from small to very large. As you would imagine, many of these projects include all aspects such as estimating, management of manpower, material procurement, scheduling, change orders, invoicing, customer service and assisting with the design of power distribution and lighting systems to name a few.

Corey Thomas

Electrical Service manager, northern california
Corey Thomas is the electrical manager for our Northern California division where he manages a team of service electricians and oversees operations. He has over 20 years of experience in the electrical industry.

Before starting with Superior, he was a self-employed licensed electrician where he worked on custom homes, as well as high rise buildings from the ground up. Corey started with Superior as a journeymen electrician. He has managed projects, including breweries, grocery stores, and banks from design to build.

Corey specializes in commercial electrical and refrigeration installation as well as back-up generators. Corey holds a C10 license in California.

Manuel Pineda

Safety director
Manuel Pineda has nearly 35 years of experience in environmental health & safety in the construction Industry. He has extensive experience in safety training and is an OSHA 500 Trainer.

Manuel has additional education and experience in environmental consulting, and is a Certified Asbestos Consultant Licensed by the State of California. Additionally, this environmental experience includes but is not limited to experience in occupational auditory, dust, and lead testing in the Construction Industry to determine the proper selection of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

His responsibilities includes compliance with all State and Federal regulations relating to occupational safety and health. Manuel provides leadership, training, information, resources, policy development, and consultation services to all Superior employees and department.
